Some Christmas reminders

We will be supporting CRISIS again this year with our Christmas card scheme.  Instead of giving individual cards to all our church family members, just hang one card on the string in the Link and make a donation the equivalent of the money saved to CRISIS.  Stewards will collect any donations.

 

Sunday December 7^th will be an all age service and will include the opportunity to make donations of money to Action for Children. 

Saturday December 13^th – Join us for Cosy Carols with Richard from 4.00 – 6.00pm.  There will be coffee or tea with mince pies or cake.  A few donations of cake or mince pies will be welcome.  Please let Diana Green know if you can help with these.

Another opportunity to enjoy festive songs and carols with St John’s  Choir

You and your friends are invited to join us on Thursday 18^th December 3.00 - 4.00pm at the Sudbury Hive Community Hub, Friars Hall, School Street  (Formerly Christchurch URC) with residents of William Wood House for an afternoon of festive songs and carols with St John’s  Choir around the  Christmas tree. Mince pies and a cuppa. No charge but a donation on leaving towards expenses would be appreciated.

Sunday 28^th December 10.30am      Carols and Mince Pies

It’s the Sunday after Christmas. You may have finished the turkey, opened all the presents, fallen asleep in front of the King’s speech and said goodbye to all the relatives, but Christmas is definitely not over.

Join us for a Christmas Songs of Praise, our first service this year in the Wesley room.  We shall sing a mixture of favourites and some we don’t get to hear so often to celebrate the birth of our Lord and then, if you have room, we’ll have one last serving of mince pies!
